Description
Departing from Salò, we will sail toward the beautiful Villa Portesina. Skirting Portese, we will reach Isola del Garda, and after passing its neo-Gothic Venetian-style palace, we will head toward the jewel of the lake: Sirmione.
Upon reaching the renowned peninsula, we will admire the magnificent Scaliger Castle (1277) with its imposing Venetian dockyard, both seen from a unique perspective that only a boat can offer. We will continue offshore near the Lido delle Bionde beach to spot the famous Boiola thermal spring, recognizable by its characteristic bubbles rising from the depths.
At the tip of the peninsula, we will see the Roman ruins of the Grotte di Catullo, dating back to 72 AD, and complete our coastal passage by showing you the villa where Maria Callas spent her early years as an opera singer, as well as the Acquaria thermal spa.
After disembarking in the historic center, you will have the opportunity to stop for 1 or 2 hours to explore the ancient village. Back on board, we will begin our return northwest toward Salò.
